Decision Authority
Contexts are organizational units built around decision authority. Decision authority grants decision rights to the leaders of the context, for specific kinds of decisions. It authorizes the leader to make certain decisions without the need for external approvals. Decision making will still involve external stakeholders from outside the context, but the final decision will be made by leaders within the context. Decision authority clarifies budgetary authority for the context's budget as well. The context's budget provides the fuel that gives agency to the context's decisions.
Example Syntax:
"<Context A> has the right to decide on changes to <these assets>, to <these teams>, to <these business capabilities>, to <these external relationships>, to <this offer>, to <this sales channel>, and/or to <this business>."
