Sub-Goals
Context leaders take their sponsored change initiatives, and prioritize them across the timeline to create a roadmap. Then they take the initiatives supporting spending in the next quarter and identify incremental outcomes toward the change initiatives that can deliver value and/or reduce uncertainty. These steps are described as sub-goals, which should suggest a tangible change in user behavior that could be produced by the end of the next quarter. Crucially, the sub-goal should outline the "what" without detailing the "how" (which is left for the teams to figure out).
Example Syntax:
"In the next quarter, we will move forward on <this change initiative> by pursuing <this sub-goal>."
